The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) adds a new dimension to the academics for the students. The students can take up the courses across the disciplines and develop on their credits. Looking into present Global Scenario, engineering students should have knowledge of the subjects from other disciplines and some advanced subjects of their respective domain in which they are perusing the degree.
At JSSATE, Bengaluru, students are encouraged to pursue courses from online platforms such as NPTEL, SWAYAM, Coursera, etc. to earn more credits over and above stipulated by the affiliating university. With these additional credits and a defined benchmark in the results of every semester, a student can earn B.E (Honours) degree from the affiliating university, VTU.
JSSATE, Bengaluru fosters the extracurricular skills among students through various activities of students’ clubs (Tachyon Motorsport), student chapters of professional societies (CSI, IEEE, IIF, SAE, ACC, etc.), project exhibitions, hackathons, NSS activities, sports and cultural activities.
