Chairman's Message

As per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines, every accredited Institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the Institution's system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. JSSATEB-IQAC has formulated a procedure to build and ensure a quality culture at the Institute level to meet the varied requirements of the stakeholders. The motto of the IQAC is to achieve quality through continuous improvement with cooperation of all stakeholders. It will channelize and systematize the efforts of the Institute towards academic excellence.
The IQAC works parallelly with academic and administrative departments across the Institute and is responsible for ensuring effective quality assurance policies and procedures to maintain academic standards. It manages key quality assurance processes including periodic internal and external reviews and audits, annual quality assurance reports, annual reports, environment audit reports, filing cases for university rankings and ratings, stakeholders’ feedback reports and any other responsibility entrusted by the university. The IQAC of JSSATE practices organizing seminars, webinars, open forums, special talks and other programmes for faculty, administrative staff and other stakeholders of the university to update, review and monitor the latest happenings in the academic disciplines. The activities under IQAC include preparation and revision of the Quality Manual, SOPs and Annual reports, Attendance automation, Examination and result system, and Training leading to quality improvement. Apart from these, IQAC engages in Audits, NBA & NAAC accreditation, Standardization of question papers, Stakeholder feedback analysis, and Improvement guidelines.

Objectives

● Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
● Promote and facilitate various academic activities of the University and make them good practices.
● Facilitate the creation of a learner centric environment conducive to quality education.
● To act as a change agent in the institution so as to ensure quality.
● Initiate the implementation of feedback responses from all stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
● Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.

At JSSATE, Bengaluru, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established on 18th December 2020. The cell consists of members from academics (internal & external), industry, alumni and a student representative. Dr. Rekha P M, Professor & Head of Information Science & Engineering is the IQAC Coordinator & Member Convener.
