To encourage and support the meritorious and economically weak students, many donors came forward and deposited some corpus amount in JSS Mahavidyapeeta, Mysuru. The interest earned by the deposited amount is being distributed to the students every year.
This award was initiated by Sri. A N Vishvesvarayya from the academic year 2013-14. A corpus amount of Rs. 12 lakhs was deposited to JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. The interest earned every year by the deposited amount will be paid to 5 students. Students (four girl students and one boy student) will be identified for this award based on their family annual income and individuals’ merit in 12th standard. A committee will be formed by the institution to identify the deserving students for the award and the amount will be given to the students during the month of May. This award was initiated by Prof. S Siddappa (Retd. Professor, Dept. of Civil Engg., UVCE, Bengaluru) in the name of his father Sri Siddalingappa during the academic year 2001-02. A corpus amount of Rs. 35,000/- was deposited to JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru. The interest earned every year will be used to honor two top performers in eighth semester University examinations.
