Department of Mathematics is established in the year 1997 and is recognized as VTU Research Centre in the year 2016 with provision for Ph.D. (Full Time / Part Time). Since then, the research facility is available for research scholars to carry out research in their specific area. Students and research scholars are encouraged to take up inter disciplinary research in various domains like Fluid Mechanics, Mathematical Analysis, Bio-Fluid Mechanics, Complex Analysis, Number and Graph theory etc. Four faculty members are guiding Ph.D. students in the above said fields and three students have been awarded doctoral degree under VTU and two of our faculty members are guides in other universities and have guided seven scholars for their Ph.D and six scholars are pursuing their research under VTU. Doctoral committee meetings and Open Seminars for Research Scholars will be conducted at regular intervals to assess their Research progress.
